Buccaneer Babe – A Female Pirate Story
How did one say that piracy divided men into men and boys, and how did the female pirate Buccaneer Babe manage to become one of the best in history? Here is the story of Buccaneer Anne Bonny.
If there was such a thing as a men’s club, it would definitely be under the patronage of Jolly Roger. Piracy was the world of men, and most pirates did not allow women to be aboard, unless they were taken as prisoners. However, some ladies have learned to be pirate and to fight men alone. Their most fierce and most aggressive fame was the female pirate Anne Bonny. Anne was a great legacy. He might have been living a very richly magnificent, spoiled life, but he refused to accept this life.
The mother was born in Ireland. She was the illegitimate daughter of a lawyer’s servant. His father treated him like one of his nephews. Finally, he left his wife for Anne’s mother and they started to live a luxury life in America.
Everything changed when Anne’s father objected to the wrong choice of wife. Buccaneer Babe went to the Bahamas with his sailor wife James, instead of obeying his father’s wishes. However, soon after, Anne left the house. This time, he started having a relationship with a handsome pirate named Calico Jack Rackham. Anne and Calico Jack became idols for the rise of the 18th century Caribbean Piracy legend. Anne’s perseverance, anger and courage were impressive.
By 1720, the British, determined to end piracy in their Caribbean colonies, wanted to catch Calico Jack. When the British sailed, only three pirates remained on the deck and fought. One of them was Mother. All pirates, including Calico Jack, fled down. The British arrested and imprisoned Calico Jack and his team. Before the execution, Calico Jack was allowed to visit Anne in prison. This visit was disappointing for him. The mother said to her: “If you had fought like a man, you wouldn’t have to be hung like a dog.”
The British did not hang them, but there is also no record of what happened to them. Others say he has arranged for his rich father to secretly release him. Others are sure that clever Anne Bonny has somehow saved her from there.
